Do not miss the opportunity to see this entertaining demo featuring Ricky Charles Dodson telling stories and making amazing figurines. As a child I stood transfixed next to someone with a torch and glass rods, as he worked magical ballerinas, horses, sailing ships and more came out of the fire. I was never allowed to take home these fragile masterpieces (A wise move by my parents. At that age I would have broken them quickly!) Now, I do have my collection of wizards, dragons and other tiny treasures. I am proud and delighted to provide the opportunity for others to experience the magic at the Silo.
Ricky is very skilled with glass and a torch, he does take requests. One person had a photo of her beloved pet, he looked at the photos and created a beautiful glass replica. With Christmas in our near future the possibilities are endless.
Mr. Dodson started honing his craft at age 11 and has become world renown in this medium. Let's show this local artist how much Wimberley loves art! Join the Silo community in welcoming Ricky into the studio for an entertaining event. Free and open to all
Friday, November 6th from 5pm to 7pm in the Silo Studio Classroom.
